Keeping us informed
When we open an account for a child (or shortly after we open it), the court will send us the name and address(es) of the child and Litigation Friend. We will use this information to send the child's Litigation Friend a statement of their account every 6 months (May and November). We will also use this information to send the child the necessary forms and instructions when they are approaching their 18th birthday.
If the details we hold are incorrect, this could delay payments and statements. As a result, it is important that you notify in writing the Court Funds Office and the court about any change of address as soon as possible.
For a change in name of the child or Litigation Friend, in addition to a letter to the Court Funds Office and the court will also require a witnessed copy of the change of name deed or certified copy of the marriage certificate. Please do not send original certificates. The Court Funds Office cannot accept responsibility for any documents lost in the post.
